Šimonytė has reacted to vaccination scandals without queuing: trust is broken

Prime Minister I. Šimonytė says on social media that there is already a public resource, where it is possible to follow relevant information about the vaccination process, where the data is presented in various sections.
According to her, while the number of vaccines is modest, the numbers are not impressive, but it is important that the process is accelerated.

“I would like to remind those who are angry about the ‘low vaccines’ that half a year ago nobody believed that now we would have all three, not just the vaccine (including Astra Zeneca, which is not yet registered in the EU). It is clear that when a newly created item is approved as fit for use, which is necessary for everyone at the same time, no manufacturer can meet the need even closely without additional production capacity. But it is also on the way – at least Pfizer intends to expand them very substantially and quickly, “writes the Prime Minister.

Here he does not spare the criticism of those who have been vaccinated, despite the fact that they were not administered. Lately there have been many stories of this type in the media.

“In those sections, you will not see the stories that we see almost every day that one vaccine or another, in a very limited supply, may not have reached someone who should have it as a matter of priority. And I am very sorry that once again Someone in the Government has to answer questions, how do we evaluate that? How can the broken trust be evaluated, which in such a process can only be shown to the heads of the institutions, because neither the Government Chancellery nor the Ministry have the opportunity to collect tens of thousands of vaccination lists and personally verify if the vaccinated has a “coupon”? The heads of institutions have a responsibility not only to the public to make proper use of vaccines obtained at the expense of taxpayers, but also with their teams: act in a transparent and clear manner, discuss specific priorities with the people who manage or their representatives. And those reserve lists that are necessary s if someone refuses or cannot vaccinate must also be compiled transparently, ”says I. Šimonytė.

He continues to surprise her more, not even that.

“When I was eight years old, when I came home from the bath and wanted to hide the fact of the bath from my mother, I put it on the base of the bed. I acted very stupid, but it was a boy. The belief that it is somehow possible to hide misconduct, or perhaps even “agree” with the media that no one should write anything, is not childish naivety. During the first wave, the media flickered with medical information about security measures, and the heads of institutions often agreed that everything was and was enough. It’s impossible to hide things like this and not even try. Then you won’t have to communicate with journalists in such a way that your teeth start to hurt when you read the dialogue, ”says the Prime Minister.

According to I. Šimonytė, “Often in education, health and social care systems, managers are offered responsibilities without offering anything at the same time, only the right to be punished if something is missing. However, when resources are provided, it is the manager’s responsibility to use them in a way that decisions are understandable and explainable. Doctors working on the front lines of the coronavirus were not given priority just for themselves. Other priorities will follow, which are not yet defined by age, the only objective and uninterpretable criterion. All of them require a great responsibility on the part of the approvers of specific lists of people to be vaccinated, so that the vaccination process is not compromised and the authorities, who have to deal with many other issues at the same time, are introduced in investigations that time consuming. If you’ve been invited to the vaccine, even though you know it probably shouldn’t be on the list, also think about whether you’d be very eager to see unfamiliar numbers on your phone and find out how to explain your success here. “
