Gabrielius Liaudanskas-Svaras, who volunteered at the hospital, was vaccinated against COVID-19 – it is the only weapon we have in this war.

The recording was illustrated with photographs showing the vaccination process, and Svaras, who emphasized the importance of citizenship in his speeches and actions for many years, announced that the date for the second dose of the vaccine was January 29.

“If I could, I would give this vaccine to my mother or another close elderly person, but I cannot do that. As the oath once made to the Fatherland was an expression of a civic position, so was this slices – on the civic position of vaccination. It is the only weapon we have in this war. And I’m doing this so that perhaps the hesitant will gain courage.

Immediately after the vaccination I left duty and here, after the shift I write, I feel great. I used to add some sarcastic joke about chips etc. But when you are in the reactors every day, you no longer want to joke about how stupid people are. After all, he faces the consequences of that.

Protect yourself and yours ”, writes G. Liaudanskas on his Facebook account.

Delphi recalls that the G&G Union did volunteer service at the hospital in mid-December. Later, Svaras shared his experiences after the first watches.

“We are assistants in the hospital. Volunteers. They appreciate it, they communicate with kindness and patience, especially if we are doing the job for the first time. Explain everything and if a tap of annoyance breaks their tiredness, they apologize” you understand, that’s the job “.

We understand, that’s why we are there. In the early days, the staff themselves did not expect such help, sometimes not knowing it was around, and we did not know who to offer their help to. But everything came together and the further, the more harmoniously everything goes.

We work on as much work as possible for an assistant. We work as lifters. Who is that elevator operator? And the elevators in the hospital are Soviet, operated only from the inside, by a specially dedicated person. Elevators are arteries because movement is only through them. There is a call on each floor or a mobile phone to contact the elevator. We transport people from the reception to the apartments, we accompany the deceased. We transport the personnel to the floors, tests to the laboratory, we remove the garbage from the apartments, we collect the packages at the reception and we take them to the apartments. In addition, we help distribute food to patients, measure pressure, temperature and oxygen, and wash the floor.

We remain a masculine force where they are needed for tougher physical work.

Yesterday, for the first time, I participated in the resuscitation in real terms. Not in regular courses, but in real doctors fighting for life. We did it at that time, we went to resuscitation, but unfortunately …

Although today will only be the fourth day of the watch, I have already seen my eyes die. He was carrying packages that were no longer available for anyone to pick up. During my time on duty, I still had to meet the released home, who recovered, but colleagues shared very good news. I hope there is more.

We get used to describing the changes between us as “pros and cons” (how many entered, how many “remained”). Maybe a little cynical, but the reality is what it is. I am emotionally prepared, also physically. We will go to the defending Homeland with a weapon, if necessary, then we have been dealing with these aspects for a long time.

However … I already told you, but I will repeat it. When a person dies, their belongings are placed in a black cellophane bag and placed in a room, a reception. Then delivered to your loved ones.

And sometimes mobile phones ring in those bags.

Do not forget.

I wish you never had those phones.

Neither for you nor for your loved ones.

Do everything you can to make this happen. If you don’t volunteer, at least don’t increase your risk and spread the virus and death through unnecessary walks in shopping malls. And don’t fool the checkpoints, because there is a high probability that you will get a “gift” for which, as a thank you, you will receive an urn of loved ones. Strength and health for all. However, we will all win this war together! ”G. Liaudanskas-Svaras shared her shocking experience.
