The National Center for Public Health (NVSC) remembers in which cases a certificate issued by the NVSC is required to obtain incapacity for work and when to contact your doctor or medical institution directly, according to a press release.
When a certificate issued by the NVSC is required to obtain the incapacity to work:
1. When you are isolated because you have been in contact with COVID-19;
2. When you are isolated because you have returned from an affected country or the UK;
3. When caring for a child in isolation who has been in contact with the patient (a certificate is issued in the child’s name and sent to the child’s medical institution, inability to work is granted for a maximum of 14 days) .
You do not need to contact NVSC again if you have already filled out the passenger form or isolation form, the link to the one you received in an SMS message, and in which you have indicated that you need incapacity for work.
If you have only completed the form on the NVSC website (nvsc.lrv.lt/salytis), please wait until the NVSC specialist contacts you and verifies the contact details. Only after these steps will you be enrolled in the isolated persons registry and the information on the need for incapacity for work (certificate) will reach your medical institution.
When you need to go directly to your medical institution due to incapacity for work and an NVSC certificate is not required:
1. When you have been approved for COVID-19;
2. When caring for a child with COVID-19;
3. When supervising a child under the age of 8 or a distance learning beginner during quarantine;
4. When the education of children with disabilities is carried out normally, but the parents decide not to send the child to school;
5. When a regimen restricting the spread of infection is advertised in an educational institution;
6. When a family member has COVID-19 and you are isolated because you have been in contact with him and are admitted to the same treatment center.
