Planned audits discussed
Auditor General M. Macijauskas said that the implementation of the law has yet to be prepared.
“We have half a year to prepare for the transition to the implementation of this law. There are really many especially important jobs awaiting our institution,” said M. Macijauskas at the press conference.
The meeting also discussed 2021 and 2022 planned audits.
“I presented the main priority directions of our audits. They are sustainable public finances, a safe and progressive society and an efficient public administration ”, said M. Macijauskas.
The audits scheduled for this year are due to be submitted by the State Audit Office in the near future.

M. Macijauskas assumed the position of State Comptroller in 2020. Until then, as of 2018, he was the Deputy Auditor General.
Before M. Macijauskas became the State Comptroller, the current Minister of Health Arūnas Dulkys held these positions.
