D. Lukas holds a BA in Journalism from Vilnius University and a MA in Sociology from Kaunas University of Technology.

She managed the advertising projects for the electoral campaign of Ingrida Šimonytė and TS-LKD, worked as head of the social media communication department at the Not Perfect advertising agency, and managed the Roof Sound sound studio.

A little later, the ministry also announced two new deputy ministers. Linas Obcarskas will supervise sports in the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports, and Ramūnas Skaudžius in general education.

L. Obcarskas has worked at the Kaunas University of Technology Sports and Health Center since 1999 as a lecturer, associate professor, head of department, head of the center, and president of the Lithuanian Sambo Federation.

R. Skaudžius became an associate professor at Vilnius University in 2016; appointed vice dean of studies at the Faculty of Chemistry and Geosciences of the VU.

The work of the Minister of Education, Science and Sports dr. Jurgita Šiugždinienė’s team has already been joined by Deputy Minister Gintautas Jakštas, responsible for the field of studies and science, Minister Chancellor Julius Lukošius and Deputy Minister Agnė Kudarauskienė, who is in charge of vocational training and lifelong learning.
