1. Do they call us extraterrestrial beings from the Centaur Proxima?
The altered signals emanating from the Universe raise many questions. Earlier this month, scientists reported that they captured a very strange energy beam in the radio portion of the electromagnetic spectrum at the 980 megahertz limit. This emanates from the star closest to us.
In a star called Centaur Proxima, just 4.2 light years from Earth, there is a gas giant and a rocky world that is 17 percent. greater than Earth. It lives in the right zone of the star, which means that there may be liquid water there.
The unexplained signal, as reported, changed slightly during the observation period, but such a change may be related to the movement of the planet. Scientists are very excited, but they are also cautious, saying they still need additional data that no comet, hydrogen cloud, or even human technology mimics an “alien signal.” Therefore, it will take some time to finally decide if “we are really called by aliens.”
2. Venus clouds may contain cosmic alien bacteria.
Astrobiologists were engulfed in excitement and skepticism in September when word spread that there was potential evidence that there could be life in the upper clouds of Venus. Then phosphine was announced, a rare and often poisonous gas that, on Earth at least, was almost always associated with living organisms. Due to the extremely high surface temperature, high pressure, and acidic clouds, Venus has been “playing second fiddle” for a long time in terms of potentially inhabited planets, and in this sense landed on Mars. However, a team pointed giant telescopes in Hawaii and Chile at Venus and captured phosphine gas in a part of Venus’s atmosphere with temperatures and pressures similar to Earth’s. Some bacteria on Earth are known to survive in extremely harsh conditions, so a biological explanation for such a discovery is no longer so impossible. The aforementioned team of scientists does not claim that this is strong evidence for the existence of cosmic bacteria, but many members of the scientific community believe it is a reason to allocate more funds to searches for life in unlikely locations.
3. Oumuamua may be an alien artifact
Two years ago, scientists captured a cigar-shaped object orbiting the solar system. The object called Oumuamua is the first known interstellar object to fly through the solar system.
But more detailed observations have revealed that Oumuamua is speeding up as if someone is pushing it, and scientists still don’t know what it is. Harvard University astrophysicist Avi Loeb hypothesized that this interstellar object could be an alien probe pushed by a candle of light – a millimeter-wide piece of material that accelerates when pushed by solar radiation.
4. The United States Navy declassifies UFO videos, but does not believe in eye smoke.
For a significant portion of Earth’s population, there is no conflicting scientific evidence at all to suggest that aliens exist. They have long believed that aliens have visited Earth more than once and are based on stories of UFOs and collisions with them (although most of them have long denied).
But the strongest believers in aliens received new evidence in April when the United States Navy distributed videos made by airplane pilots. They see strangely shaped tailless flying objects that move at supersonic speeds and look like strange alien machines.
Still, people should be wary of such information, according to freelance journalist Sarah Scoles in her book They’re Here: UFO Culture and Why We See Saucers.
She herself reviewed the records published by the United States Navy and could not say for sure if the alien ships were actually registered in them.
5. There may be many planets with oceans in the path of birds.
Oceanic planets are planets whose surface has a sufficiently large amount of water at or slightly below it. And there are surprisingly many such planets in the solar system. Land, of course, is one of them. However, the Jupiter satellite in Europa is also believed to contain large amounts of water under the ice sheet. Saturn’s satellite Enceladus is also known to “spit” on geysers of water as well.
The idea of sending a probe to one of these satellites sometime in the 1930s to check for any life forms is increasingly being debated in the astronomical community.
As for planets with oceans outside our solar system, in June, scientists analyzed 53 exoplanets that are similar in size to Earth and found that about a quarter of them have the right conditions to be considered planets with oceans, which which suggests that those places in our galaxy are quite common.
6. On earth, bacteria breathe hydrogen. Maybe aliens will do the same?
The inhabitants of Earth need oxygen to survive. In space, however, oxygen is rare: it makes up only 0.1 percent. all the masses of the Universe. And hydrogen is up to 92 percent, helium is 7 percent, and many planets, including gas giants like Jupiter and Saturn, are made up of these two light elements.
In May, researchers took the E. coli bacteria found in the intestines of many animals, as well as humans, and common yeast (a fungus used to bake bread or make beer) and tried to find out if they could survive in other environments. These microbes are already known to survive without oxygen. And when placed in containers with pure hydrogen or helium, they were able to keep growing, albeit at a slower rate. These results suggest that when we look for organisms in other places in the Universe, we should look for places that are not necessarily completely similar to Earth.
