Important for UK returnees: travel requirements are tightening

[ad_1]

Those arriving in Lithuania must have a negative COVID-19 test result received no later than 48 hours ago or must take the test in Lithuania, announces the Ministry of Transport and Communications.

Despite the available test result, 10 days of isolation are mandatory for all people coming to Lithuania from the UK. Isolation rules do not apply to transit travelers and crew and crew members working and participating in international commercial transport.

All people flying to the UK or other countries to Lithuania must register on the website: https://keleiviams.nvsc.lt/lt/form and receive a QR code confirming registration. This code must be provided when boarding the flight together with the air ticket and the identity document. The NVSC will transmit the information received on the place of isolation to the corresponding municipality and the police within 24 hours.

You can leave the isolation area only with permission from the National Public Health Center (NVSC). The control of those who isolate themselves at their home, hotel or municipal premises will remain in the hands of the police or municipal personnel.

The Ministry emphasizes that, according to the requirements set by the Minister of Health, isolation from other former family members in Lithuania is only possible in those premises where two separate sanitary facilities are installed. Otherwise, isolation in a hotel or place designated by the municipality is necessary.

Due to the threat posed by COVID-19, you are requested to refrain from unnecessary travel from the UK.
