TV has radio

Company representatives have added that since 2016. State infrastructure

In the field of telecommunications services, the company focuses on wholesale services and telecommunications and IT infrastructure projects of state importance: construction and operation of data centers and a critical communication network for the needs of state special services. It is stated that these projects will allow consolidating and beginning to use ITT’s state resources in a much more rational way.

Telecentras has already started designing the first of the 4 planned state data centers. It will be established on the company’s territory in Vilnius. The design and certification phase of the facility is expected to be completed in 2021. In the second quarter, the operation is scheduled to begin in 2022. Second quarter. The State Critical Communication Network (NCC) project has also been launched, which should provide reliable voice and data transmission services from anywhere in Lithuania in 24/7 mode to selected state institutions. The inter-institutional working group of representatives of the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Defense and the Telecentre reached the unanimous conclusion that the hybrid network model VKRT, which is used in Sweden, Finland and other countries, it should be applied in Lithuania. Its essence is that the physical basis of VKRT consists of a separate state-operated mobile communications network, which is combined with the networks of commercial operators.

Reconstruction of the television tower

Telecentras has also launched a project to rebuild the Vilnius television tower, according to which the tower’s facilities and infrastructure networks will be reviewed, as well as the interior and exterior of the tower will be prepared for tourism activities, leisure and restoration. In the first stage of reconstruction, on the current restaurant “Paukščių takas”, it is planned to install and open an open observation terrace with a café-bar next year, to review the technological and evacuation facilities at the top of the tower .

Solar power plants

As a major energy consumer, Telecentras also launched a solar power plant development project this year. The energy produced in them will be used in the nearby facilities of the company. Currently, Telecentras consumes around 12 MWh of energy per year for its customers, and in the future, due to the growth in business volumes, this demand will increase to 23 MWh.
