The defender played with the legendary Bill Russell at the University of San Francisco, and later joined forces with the Boston Celtics. Here, they simply swept the titles: KCJones became the National Basketball Association (NBA) champion eight times in his nine-year career.

The defender’s achievements should also be appreciated more because the NBA was dominated by tall people at the time, so it was certainly not easy for a player in such a season to maintain a good game.
KCJones ended his career at the age of 35 and returned to the NBA as a coach six years later. In just his second season with the Bullets in Washington, he reached the final, winning the title in 1971, helping the Lakers in Los Angeles. He earned three more titles on the Celtics coaching staff (one as an assistant, two as a head coach).
KCJones, who became a 12-time NBA champion, retired from the league in 1997 and ended his career a year later, also working in women’s basketball.
The defender, who has become a true league legend, has won more trophies: he became a two-time NCAA champion and in 1956 he also triumphed at the Melbourne Olympics. It was joked that the letter “C” in his name stood for titles (championships). In 1989, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame.
