Polyclinics, mobile points and laboratories will be open during the holidays

This was agreed during the meeting of the Minister of Health Arūnas Dulkis with the providers of these services, announced the Ministry of Health.

The decision of A. Dulkis stipulates that the laboratory that performs the PCR method of the nasopharynx for coronavirus must guarantee the performance of these tests and the integration of the results in the e-health information system on holidays and non-working days: December 25-27 and January 2-3.

Institutions providing primary outpatient health care will be required to provide all services on specified days except for immunoprophylaxis, preventive programs, and preventive health screenings.

Depending on the medical condition of the referred patient, it will be necessary to provide assistance through direct contact or remote contact.

The directors of the administrations of the municipalities where the mobile points operate are obliged to ensure that the points are open every day or every other day on the specified days for at least two hours a day. It is also necessary to ensure the operation of fever clinics for at least four hours a day.

By decision of the Chief of Operations, municipal polyclinics and municipal advisory polyclinics of the city or district are instructed to provide radiology, echocopy, endoscopy, surgery and medical laboratory services on certain holidays and non-working days.

Pharmacies that are part of the national health system must work at least four hours a day.
