It was received that two powerful passenger cars, the Volvo S80 and the Audi A6 (with a 4.2 liter petrol engine), would carry a large number of cigarettes on the territory of Marijampolė county.

Officials seized a Volvo S80 car driven by a man (born 1978) containing cigarettes with Belarusian stamps on the outskirts of the village of Svirnavie. Likewise, the Audi A6 in front of a Volvo S80 was stopped in the same place, the driver of whom did not stop and escaped from the police crews, arresting and chasing him.

During the search, the fugitive Audi A6 drove directly towards a uniformed officer who was standing on the sidewalk in an attempt to avoid a road blocked by him, so a Glock-26 service pistol (fired 7 times) was used to protect the life and health of the officer and others. the front wheel on the right side of the Audi A6). In both vehicles, 57,311 packs of cigarettes were found and seized for a total value of about 203,454 euros.
