The Ministry of Health (SAM) recalls that the tightening of quarantine in Lithuania restricts movement between municipalities. Restrictions on movement between municipalities also apply to citizens who have temporarily returned to Lithuania. Residents arriving in Lithuania by air or by land can only go to the declared place of residence, where they have real estate, to a rented accommodation or to a specific address in a specific municipality, for example, to their parents.
The Ministry of the Interior (MoI) emphasizes that residents can move between municipalities under the same conditions as people living in the state; compatriots returning to Lithuania from abroad can only go to the municipality where they will live.
For all compatriots who came to Lithuania during their stay, the same movement restrictions will apply as for people permanently residing here.
It is emphasized that residents who have arrived in Lithuania cannot leave the place where they stayed after returning to Lithuania before leaving. This means that if a person who has returned to Lithuania has left to stay in a specific municipality at a specific address, as long as there are movement restrictions in Lithuania, he cannot leave this place and cannot travel freely in Lithuania.
People from abroad, like all people living in Lithuania, can communicate closely with a single household during their stay in Lithuania.
It is remembered that the tightening of the quarantine should not leave your place of residence without good reason, except to go to work (if it is not possible to work remotely), as well as go to the supermarket, take a walk in the open air or in other exceptional cases.
Residents are urged not to forget to wash their hands regularly, not touch their faces, or wear protective masks or shields anywhere and at any time when a person is disabled.
It is also reminded that frequently touched surfaces or objects should be periodically disinfected or cleaned indoors. Shopping baskets or similar general purpose items used in stores should be cleaned or disinfected after each use.
