The largest hospital that coordinates the flow of COVID-19 patients in the Vilnius region was waiting for the volunteers. The VUL Santara clinics needed people who could contribute to the courier activities: transporting or accompanying patients from one room to another, taking test samples and delivering them to the laboratory, accompanying tests, procedures, delivering packages. Assistance was also needed in the treatment rooms of COVID-19 patients.
Gabrielius Liaudanskas, the founder, performer, and composer of the G&G Syndicate, also joined the ranks of those in a hurry.
It has soc. shared this news on his network accounts and wrote:
“Friends, I am writing this message right after I was on duty at the hospital, where my brothers and sisters and the shooters began volunteering in the red zone.
Volunteering, which started yesterday and will continue, I don’t know how much. Like many conscientious people, please, no gift bought at a mall or other city traffic jams will redeem that “gift” that you will most likely take home. And then regret that impatience, irresponsibility and a handshake take the most precious thing away from you.
I wish we were not in this ‘dark’ period. Hopefully it would end as soon as possible. Stay at home. And above all, do not take risks when visiting your loved ones. That way, your care and love will be real. “
The news portal tv3.lt recalls that G. Liaudanskas has become a blood donor 42 times and has helped more than 100 people.
This time, G. Liaudanskas said that in his life he is guided by the approach “Start everything from yourself”. For this reason, he is not only a blood donor but also an organ donor.
“Being a blood donor is one of the bases of mutual help for me. I believe that Lithuania, like all countries in the world, exists in people. The relationships between people, the socialization, the sociality that they are capable of creating, have a direct impact on their sense of happiness and well-being, and on the state in which they live and their relationship with it. If you feel safe in case of an accident, an accident or an illness, when the doctors give you enough blood, ”he says.
