The largest number of children attending kindergartens is found in Širvintos district (85%), Neringa municipality (60%) and Trakai district (59%). Less than a tenth of all kindergarten children attend pre-school educational institutions in the districts of Lazdijai (7%), Ukmergė (8%), Joniškis (8%), Vilkaviškis (9%).
In the three largest cities, the kindergartens of the city of Kaunas (52%) receive the most children during the quarantine, and the least, the kindergartens of the city of Vilnius (25%). In Klaipeda, 33 percent attend kindergartens. to children who came to them before quarantine.
Although there are fewer children, the groups are not connected according to the requirements set by the operations manager, the principle of maximum group isolation is followed.
As usual, the institutions continue to employ specialists in educational support: speech therapists, special educators, psychologists, who provide consultations. They are provided individually or work only with the same group of children at a time.
According to the Minister, the active participation of some municipalities in solving the problem and the flexible assistance to institutional communities is gratifying, both in terms of teaching incentives and monthly enrollment.
According to municipal data submitted to the Ministry, the Vilnius city municipality exempted the tax, which is being considered by the city of Klaipeda.
