Vytautas Kvietkauskas, who fell ill with coronavirus, will never forget his next door neighbor: it was the most terrifying thing in his life.

V. Kvietkauskas shared that COVID-19 got sick somewhere in late December. The first symptom was a temperature rise to 38 degrees, but although he feared the coronavirus testing procedure, he still called the short number 1808.

“At first I didn’t want it, because I saw on television how the members of the Seimas were controlled, they showed how they cried, snorted, which was such an unpleasant procedure. You know, I didn’t want to and I didn’t until I was sure. On the other hand, I thought it was necessary to do it anyway, because you are responsible not only for yourself, but also for the others with whom you interact ”.

He told me he was gone, checked and realized that there was really no cause for fear in that test.

“I also rubbed both sides of my nose, it was absolutely no unpleasant sensation. It was most unpleasant when he took a stain from his throat, but it’s a matter of seconds. Check in and stay calm. Three days later, I received a response that I had a virus. Late at night, the temperature rose to 38 degrees and lasted a few days until it finally rose to 39. I called the ambulance and they took me to the Santara clinics, ”he recalled.

There, Vytautas said, he checked again, gave him medicine and took them home in special transport. The next day there was no temperature, everything was fine, but on the third day it went up to 39 degrees again, so friends forced him to turn to Santar again.

“I called the ambulance again, went to Santaras, and from there the next morning they took me to the Antakalnis Hospital, here I am now. I receive antibiotics, I allow this type of antiviral solutions, the doctors and nurses are well supervised. All very well, I go to bed in a double room, I can’t get out of it anywhere.

However, I am very sorry for the doctors, they have to be dressed in that overalls at all times, and the nurses have a lot of work to do, because there are very serious patients lying here. Therefore, everyone must be taken care of and those monkeys cannot be removed for twelve hours. Neither to drink nor to go to the bathroom, she moves and trembles all the time. In fact, these people are doing work that requires a lot of determination, so I am very grateful to them.

I started writing for various reasons.

V. Kvietkauskas spoke about why he came up with the idea to publicize his health problems on the social network Facebook. He was surprised by some friends he interacted with and that if they didn’t feel any symptoms, they wouldn’t check.

“Okay, let’s not check it, but you must understand that you are responsible not only for yourself but also for others. The second thing, a friend of mine told me that he did not take it for a check. He had no temperature, but he mentioned interacting with a sick coronavirus. However, he still did not accept it. It is probably not good not to accept, because there are also asymptomatic cases.

So, and I write that people know a few things: first of all, it is necessary to check, because you are also responsible for others, it costs nothing to check and it is certainly not such an unpleasant procedure. Once you know whether or not you are sick, it becomes clear how to behave. If it’s asymptomatic, there’s one thing, and if it’s symptomatic, then you know what to do next. “

He also said that he himself has no comorbidities, but his doctors are concerned about the lack of oxygen in his blood at the moment.

“Now the doctor told me that the greatest evil is that my blood lacks oxygen. The rate is 92 to 97, I just don’t know those units. If I simply disconnect from the stationary oxygen supply it immediately drops to 84-86 and implies tremendous weakness.

You take a couple of steps and you have to go back to the hospital bed. Here at home, oxygen can cause big problems, so I bought a particularly inexpensive pulse oximeter to measure oxygen. Very convenient and fast. I think those who are in more severe shape definitely need to have it at home. “

One thing, said the interlocutor, you will not be able to forget for a long time: the death of a patient who was lying next to a slightly older patient with comorbidities.

“It just came to our knowledge then kovidu and pneumonia. It went off very quietly, I didn’t even see it. However, I will probably never forget the sound of putting a human body in a bag and pulling it. It was one of the most horrible things I’ve heard lately. If people don’t want to hear that sound or don’t want others to hear it because of them, great care must be taken. You have to follow all the rules and it is best to be at home

He has a wish for those in a rush for supermarkets.

Vytautas, who suffers from coronavirus, suggested that people relax and understand that now they must think of different gifts.

“I’ve always had one of the biggest punishments for buying Christmas gifts. However, now is a very good opportunity to email a good word one time. Let us write “love” to the children, friends and that we wish them all health. In my opinion, it would be the best gift if it came true, and not some socks or sweets, which are then unnecessary for everyone ”.

Speaking of full-blown supermarkets, he asked if it was really needed right now, because it was better to wait.

“Spring will come and we will all go out into nature again.”
