If the government decides to tighten the quarantine conditions and restrict the movement of residents between municipalities without necessary and objective reasons, some residents and businessmen who provide accommodation services are already considering that those who have booked accommodation in a hotel or private accommodation sector should seek ways to get to Palanga.

It is motivated by the fact that the provision of accommodation services is not generally prohibited: hotels and the private accommodation sector will receive guests, ”the mayor of Palar, Šarūnas Vaitkus, addressed the public.

Become hotel managers

He first appealed to service providers in the hope that they were aware.

“I understand that the economic situation is not easy. The uncertainty about the length of the quarantine and the severity of the restrictions is worrying. The temptation to attract guests to your accommodation facilities is great – after all, the holidays are coming most beautiful of the year, as well as the long weekend, so those who wish to stay in St. There really are quite a few to celebrate Christmas or New Years by the sea. However, I urge you to stay tuned: on behalf of the extra euro for each one, do not risk your health and the lives of your loved ones ”, said the mayor of Palanga.

According to him, trying to circumvent the prohibitions, deceiving the officials who control the entrance to the municipalities may be possible, but is it worth fooling oneself? Will the earnings received from the hosting service provided redeem the health or even the life of our loved ones? After all, by opening the door wide for guests, we are also opening the door to the threat of infecting our family and ourselves.

“This infection hits us like an invisible enemy: we never know what hug, what handshake, what lunch at the common table will be decisive for us or for the people we love the most. For this reason, I sincerely ask that we do not try to deceive ourselves, that we be conscious and responsible, and that we do not open the doors of our homes or hotels to guests during these winter holidays ”, the resort manager addressed the public.
