Back in November, V.Žūsinaitė shared his photos of the gym with his followers; however, she is not used to sitting at home and living a quiet lifestyle. Therefore, even the born child did not change his schedule too much; after all, everything is possible when she wants.
Looking at Vaida’s example, it turns out that even during pregnancy it is possible to turn the mountains: the runner played sports until week 36!
And now, nine months after giving birth, the athlete is completely changing the mind that after pregnancy, a woman’s body changes for the worse.
“Actually, my body shape even improved after pregnancy,” she says.
But how is this possible?
It is no secret that when you put the job looking good but you are already starting to think about multiplying your family, it is a little scary. What if I don’t go back to the old ways? After all, there are so many such examples!
However, Vaida is in a hurry to refute that attitude; after all, women can do anything when they take something and imagine it. Pregnancy and beautiful body shapes are also supported. But of course it takes a little effort.
“Some women really take good care of themselves during and after pregnancy, but others give themselves up, using the pregnancy card in terms of nutrition and physical activity. Now I think I spun like a bee during pregnancy. Sometimes at night I felt tired, but in the morning I got up again and carried out my plans, “she says.

During her pregnancy, Vaida herself says that she did not think about her ways, that she only lived a normal life, only with a slightly growing belly, that she worked, exercised and actively spent time.
“During my pregnancy, I gained about 12 kilograms, which I felt the most in recent months. It was mainly on the legs and buttocks. At first, the belly was barely visible, some did not even suspect that it was waiting! It was a lot of fun when an unknown boy closed his eyes at the end of his pregnancy, ”laughs the athlete.
Of course, Vaida didn’t invent a new bike, according to her, though with minimal sport, the body gets stronger, making it much easier to get back in shape after delivery. “I didn’t even have to try too hard,” he admits.
The runner wasn’t the typical pregnant woman who would like donuts, bacon, or cakes in the middle of the night, either.
Sometimes a person calms down with food because food gives pleasure. To avoid this, you should try to know yourself.
“Sometimes I wanted to try everything, but not much. I think sometimes everyone needs to control themselves because there are many temptations. We want to eat delicious food, we lose our temper. It is necessary to combine diet, sport and recreation, to seek inner peace. Sometimes a A person calms down with food because food gives pleasure. In order not to do that, you should try to know yourself, “he says.
Exercised up to 36 weeks, pregnant ran in competitions
During the first nine weeks, Vaida was nauseated, so her appetite was less. But instead of moaning in bed, he went to the gym, and it turns out he felt even better.
“My schedule even escalated during my pregnancy: There were months when I went to work in the morning, ran during the lunch break, did exercises after work, so I came back at 9pm late,” says V.Žūsinaitė .
The athlete had enough strength to cover even tens of kilometers. In the third and fourth month of training, she ran 20 km, and when she was six months pregnant she participated in competitions and ran 5 km in less than 20 minutes.
“I ran for 37 weeks, then for two weeks I rode a bicycle in the sports club, I did not practice sports only for the last week, but I walked at least 5 km. I led the training until the end! I am patient, persevering, I felt good So there was no goal to do anything, “she says.
Of course, Vaida emphasizes that every pregnancy is different, so you should consult your doctor if you can exercise. And if there are no distractions and you feel great, go ahead!
“I think you should avoid activities where there is a risk of injury and therefore harm to the unborn child. These are various team games where you interact with other players. But there are even pregnant women playing soccer in the world. For example, he was afraid to ride a bike, skate, but other women weren’t afraid of him. I think they all choose a form of activation that is acceptable to them and takes risks. In any case, the intensity decreases as the birth approaches. In my case, the body showed how much and with what intensity it wants to run, “says Vaida.
Two months after giving birth, and the press
Having a daughter in September, V.Žūsinaitė did not sit at home for long. After leaving the girl with her husband for a few weeks, she started training again.
“I couldn’t even think about sports for two weeks, but after three weeks I ran to the first training. It really wasn’t easy … After that, I thought it would take me a long time to get back into shape. I didn’t feel any pleasure from a long time, but I didn’t give up and it was easier after about 4 months! ”, he admits.
Although the runner didn’t think too much about abdominal pressure and returned to her former forms, she regained a flat tummy just two months after exercising.
“It surprised me and now I wonder what miracle the human body is! It was very interesting with the weight, it even fell after giving birth. When I talk to my friends now, it turns out that my birth was not easy! I couldn’t get out of bed for more than a day. It could be said that I didn’t even throw anything … The weight varied more or less a few pounds. At the moment, my weight is optimal, it is like that before the competition, ”says Vaida.

V.Žūsinaitė is convinced that it is possible to achieve such results for almost all women, just a little stubbornness and patience.
“You do not have to give up, suffer the most difficult period and believe in yourself! If there is a desire, you will see the results sooner or later! It is also important not to push yourself too hard, it is easy to do everything,” he says.
The athletic form is even better than before.
While still pregnant, the Olympian was eager to see how she would get back into the sport. The runner has heard many examples of women returning to sports with even greater strength after the birth of a child, surprisingly even better results.
“I feel much better than before pregnancy. I am afraid to speak, but the training results are pleasantly surprising!
After such an unexpected year, I was hoping to move to the Olympics next year. For me, it is like a second chance, so I will try to take advantage of it.
Before quarantine, I participated in 3 competitions and won them all. He wasn’t in as good of shape as I am now, so I’m looking forward to trying it out, “he smiles.
So while you are successful in sports, the athlete says she doesn’t think of more children, at least not yet. She just can’t run in such good shape, or maybe next year will be her chance to get a medal from the Olympics?
“I think the child is the greatest miracle and there are no results worth it! However, for the moment we want to focus on Gabijuke, and we’ll see what the next one will be like. After such an unexpected year, I was hoping to move to the Olympics next year, even though I had chosen pregnancy earlier. For me, it is like a second chance, so I will try to take advantage of it. But of course in the future I would like my daughter’s brother or sister, “says V.Žūsinaitė.
