“One of the deceased belonged to the age group of 81 to 90 years, the other to the age group of 51 to 60 years, both had concomitant chronic diseases,” D. Razmuvienė told BNS.
The Ministry of Health announces that eight new cases of coronavirus were confirmed last day, at which time D. Razmuvienė stated that the NVSC received information about seven new cases of the disease. Four of them were registered in Vilnius County, two in Utena County and one in Telšiai County.
“The disease has been diagnosed in two doctors, one of them is from Ignalina, the other works at the Vilnius City Clinical Hospital. Two cases of coronavirus are imported for returnees from England and Sweden,” said D. Razmuvienė.
According to her, information on other coronavirus cases is currently being reviewed.
According to the Ministry of Health, the coronavirus is now confirmed in 1,670 individuals in Lithuania. COVID-19 still affects 262 people and 1,229 are considered healthy. 70 people died from the disease, and nine people infected with the coronavirus died of other causes.
