According to Rolanda Lingienė, Head of the Vilnius Department of the National Center for Public Health (NVSC), 6 cases of COVID-19 were approved on Thursday. All of them have been approved for Vilnius County residents.
The main foci of COVID-19 are currently monitored in personal health institutions in Vilnius and Kaunas.
Hospitals currently treat 50 patients, including 4 in resuscitation and intensive care units, 2 people undergoing artificial lung ventilation, and 19 people undergoing oxygen masks.
“3 cases were confirmed in the Antaviliai pension, which was clarified during the preventive examination. This is 1 employee and 2 residents. All of these individuals had a high-risk exposure to the previously identified case. 3 cases are related to the Vilnius City Clinical Hospital: a patient of this hospital, an employee of the internal medicine department of this hospital and a close person of an employee of the Vilnius City Clinical Hospital, “said R. Lingienė.
Currently, 47 cases were registered in the Antaviliai pension: 30 residents and 17 employees were sick or even sick.
“Analyzing why this fireplace is not shutting down in any way, this is the first hypothesis that it is likely a violation or misuse of personal protective equipment, but when NVSC specialists leave, we did not notice such violations. The institution has prepared all procedures and it is self-sufficient, ”said a representative from NVSC.
A total of 45 people were infected with COVID-19 at the Vilnius City Clinical Hospital. Outside the home, 236 people are isolated due to contact with this hospital.
This week 39 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed and 5 people died this week. Most of the cases identified were in Vilnius County.
