G. Nausėda also criticized the processes of change of government in Lithuania. According to him, the process is fluid and lacks a high political culture.

“We said earlier in the week, in a joint press conference with Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonyte, that the measures must be stricter, because they are offered by scientists and health professionals. Yes, there is a particular need to reduce the number of contacts between families. This is especially important in recent weeks, because if we make a breakthrough, we could welcome Christmas at least a little more calmly. Unfortunately, not all measures have been implemented, some have even been ignored. That is why, dear brothers, I appeal to you. You can voluntarily follow the measures that have not been implemented by limiting the number of your family-to-family contacts, ”said G. Nausėda.

The head of state also says that he currently sees an “unnecessary shift” between the transfer of power and a low political culture.

“I would like to say that the number of coronavirus cases is a record and it is getting worse. In such a situation, it is particularly important that the national government that is finishing its work smoothly transfers all responsibilities to the next government.

Unfortunately, in countries with a high political culture, the fluidity of such a transfer would have been greater. This did not happen in Lithuania and we see some completely unnecessary changes at the door. I think the most important thing now is to focus on the content, ”he said.
