People at risk and those with chronic diseases should be especially protected in the event of a pandemic in the country.

Guidelines for preventing the spread of the virus are based on the recommendations of the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control and the World Health Organization.

Postpone family vacations

SAM reminds residents that it is recommended to postpone all personal celebrations or organize them in such a way that no more than 10 people attend. If there are signs of an upper respiratory infection or the person is isolated, they should not attend the celebration.

Participants in the celebration should follow the etiquette of coughing, sneezing, as well as keeping a safe distance from other people, washing their hands with soap and water or using hand sanitizers, and wearing masks.

Limit the number of contacts

The ministry recommends restricting meetings with friends, acquaintances or relatives, and making sure to wear masks during meetings, avoid physical contact: hugs or handshakes. At least 2-3 times a day for at least 10 minutes. the housing must be continuously ventilated. It is also advisable to clean frequently used surfaces daily: door handles, table tops, faucet handles, remote controls, refrigerator handles.

Special care for patients with chronic diseases

Chronic patients and the elderly are the most vulnerable population with a high risk of serious complications from coronavirus infection.

If a person has a chronic illness, it is older, the possibility of teleworking should be discussed with the employer. If this is not possible, the employer should organize the work in such a way as to ensure as little contact as possible with other people.

Residents are also encouraged to visit public places as little as possible and to ask their family, friends or neighbors to provide them with food and other necessary facilities.
