According to the coordinator of the center, Asta Guzienė, it is obvious that some of the supermarkets and the residents themselves do not respect the established physical distance, do not wear masks correctly and the flow of customers is not regulated. This behavior may also contribute to the recent very intense spread of the virus in Alytus.
“Taking into account this situation, the members of the center who participated in the meeting not only adopted this recommendation, but also proposed to the Commission of Emergency Situations of the Municipality of the city of Alytus to take an appropriate decision on a stricter control of the negotiation places in accordance with the 2020 State of Emergency Operations Manual. November 6 Decision No. V-2510 “On the necessary conditions for the negotiation spaces,” said the interlocutor.

The number of coronavirus cases in Alytus approached 1,000 – as of Tuesday, 977 cases had been recorded.
