Dulkys is about Šimonytė’s intentions to take over as operations manager – that would be a completely correct decision.

“(That decision – ELTA) would be very positive. Whether we look at what the management textbooks say or what the crisis management experience says, all the time, depending on the size of the problem, the bigger it is and The greater the potential harm to the state or organization, the higher the level the manager must respond.

In this case, we are faced with things that are not just a question of health care, it is a question of the whole Lithuanian economy. So I think this is a completely correct decision. Because anyone who is interested in management will tell them that the leader cannot delegate (other people – ELTA) in the prevention of crisis management ”, said the candidate for health ministers to LRT Radio.

Dulkys also added that if he had the Minister’s portfolio, he would be willing to work with the former Minister of Health, Aurelius Veryga.

“I will cooperate very sincerely (…). We know the current Minister of Health, and I think that if a new manager believes that he can do something without paying attention to the achievements and lessons of the former leaders, if he hopes to do something without interacting with the former teams, he will certainly not succeed (…). “I will try to delve not only in the current minister, I will also try to understand the lessons of the previous ministers,” he said.

ELTA recalls that the candidate for prime minister I. Šimonytė appointed the former state comptroller, the economist A. Dulkis.

Dust isn’t considering party membership yet: but I never say never

Arūnas Dulkys assures that to continue with the portfolio of Minister of Health in the Government headed by Ingrida Šimonytė, he is not really considering becoming a member of the Conservative Party that has delegated him to the ministers.

“I am not going to join any party. None of me demanded it or will demand it. Now (agreeing to run for the post of Minister – ELTA) I reacted as a citizen, because this team is considering the need for my help at this stage”, the former State Comptroller told LRT radio.
However, A. Dulkys was not categorical due to his possible membership in one of the Lithuanian political forces. However, according to the ministerial candidate, if he decided to participate in party activities, the steps he would take first are already planned.

“It just came to our knowledge then. Being a member of a political party or joining an organization is a very responsible process, and I have been very negative towards people who, before the elections, never participated in the politics of those parties, jumped to the top of the electoral list and thus they entered the parliament or the European Parliament. I think that if at some point in my life – I never say never – the idea of participating in political activities arises, I would really join that organization, I would join to a specific department and I would start with activities in the department ”, said A. Dulkys, emphasizing that the current proposal for the post of Minister of Health is an exceptional case in this regard.
