Police reported that around 9 pm In the morning, at the invitation of residents, after going to the village of Žmirkliai in the Joniškis district, the officers found a Toyota Corola Verso car left at their will.

It turned out that it belonged to a 63-year-old resident of the village of Rudiškės. Upon seeing the officers who approached him, he was very surprised, and even more surprised, when they asked him where his car was, and he, replying that he was standing in the yard, could no longer see his vehicle in the yard. He realized that Toyota was robbed. Turn for the jacket pockets – keys instead. The dirty shoe feet seen in the section caused the owner to verify that the car’s replacement ignition keys were still in the section. They weren’t there. Examining the scene, it was found that someone had entered the house through the basement window and was screaming downstairs. The hosts slept on the second floor.

The suspect, a 15-year-old grandson of a car owner who lives in the same town, was soon found.

When the officers went to him, he found the young man asleep. The minor, who arrived at his home in Paris, pretended not to understand what was wanted of him.

Officials had known the young man about the misconduct before. About 15 years ago, a 15-year-old boy headed to the Švėkšna Special Education Center was returned home for self-isolation due to a coronavirus outbreak at this educational institution. But perceiving self-isolation as freedom from stricter controls, he met a 17-year-old friend on the night of November 16 and decided to diversify his life from quarantine into adventures.

It is suspected that the young man, knowing where his grandfather kept the spare ignition keys, broke into the house through the basement window and, having appropriated them, wanted to hit the corridors with a friend. Unfortunately, the driver of the car did not obey the car without knowledge and skills. A rogue car was found in a ditch and did not abandon it. Fortunately, there were no casualties. A preliminary investigation has been started on both minors for the intrusion into a residential premises and the theft of keys and the car.
