Due to the rapidly activating lifestyle, the risky desire to achieve fast sports results, irresponsible behavior or injuries, various joint pathologies become apparent to people at an increasingly younger age. However, according to doctors, we only think about joint health when we can no longer move freely and without pain.

The interpreter Mia also understood it perfectly, when a year and a half ago she suffered a serious foot injury that forced her to sit in a wheelchair for a while. This Sunday, on the TV8 television program “Tervatos medis”, the singer agreed to recall the suffering she suffered at that time and tell how she managed to recover, according to a press release.

“I had an injury because I brought a big snake on stage during one of the filming, and I was overwhelmed by a great scare, I jumped off the stage in high heels. Both feet were broken. A lot of people said that I would limp, that I couldn’t go back on stage, and when I got out of the wheelchair, I really realized that it was difficult to walk, ”Mia said on the show.

According to doctors, high heels damage not only the feet, but also the spine and joints. This can lead to venous varicose veins or other possible pathologies. Also, a heavy load is placed on the joints, causing them to wear out faster.

“Joint pain usually occurs for a number of reasons: genetics, trauma, and an incorrect lifestyle. Women who wear high heels regularly are more likely to experience knee pain. When the foot position changes, the weight is transferred to the toes, the calf muscles tighten, and the knee joints automatically adjust differently. Therefore, to avoid possible ailments in the future, it is advisable to choose low-heeled shoes more often, ”said Gintarė Skrupskienė, physician in physical medicine and rehabilitation.

Mia remembers the post-injury period as extremely difficult. He not only had to change his lifestyle habits, adapt to the changes, but also work hard to fully recover and walk again.

“Every step out of bed in the morning was like a nightmare, after a few hours my feet were so swollen that I couldn’t put my shoes on. I would train my feet daily through the biggest pains, through bitten teeth. I kept increasing the height of the heels, because I am a person on stage and it is important for me to be angry to be able to wear heels ”, Mia did not hide her experience.

A joint is a joint that connects bones, on which mobility and range of motion depend. It does not have blood circulation in itself, so it feeds on the fluid that surrounds it, the production of which depends only on a person’s lifestyle. It is affected not only by physical activity but also by diet. Fortunately, articular cartilage is constantly regenerating and can be supplemented with dietary supplements of collagen type I and II and vitamin C to delay and slow down the wear process. It is these substances that nourish the joints, cartilage and bones and prevent their premature wear.

“I am 17 years old on stage, so there is a tremendous amount of stress and tension. It is no wonder that an intense life is not a vacation and damages the joints, the spine. Your body really needs to be taken care of and it is fun that there are natural preparations that naturally help our movement not disappear. There is nothing more important than health, “said Mia.
