The position of head of the Lithuanian Red Cross since 1 December. Kristina Meidė will start going. He will replace Gintare Guzevičiūtė, who has been in charge for five years, who will leave the organization on his decision.

“I am sincerely happy to join the Lithuanian Red Cross team. For me, it is not just a new professional experience, but a great sense of meaning in taking on this challenge. I believe that together with a team so dedicated to our work, we will do grow the organization, making life easier for an increasing number of people affected by difficulties ”, K. Meidė is quoted in the report.

Since 2013, K. Meidė has been the director of the Eurovaistiniai network in Lithuania, and since 2015 she has been the director of Euroapotheca, which runs pharmacy chains in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland. Since 2017, she has become the Managing Director of the Maxima LT chain of stores.

The Lithuanian Red Cross belongs to an international organization: the Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. This movement seeks to prevent and alleviate human suffering. The most important activities of the organization in Lithuania: assistance to single and sick grandparents, training in first aid, assistance to refugees and migrants.
