The Seimas committees already have their leaders

On Thursday, 81 members of the Seimas voted in favor of the resolution proposing to approve the heads of the commissions, 11 opposed and 11 abstained. According to the first vice president of Seimas, Jurgis Razma, who presented the project, the decision on the management of the Audit Committee is scheduled for later, when the modifications to the Statute that regulates it are decided.

The Seimas approved Aistė Gedvilienė, a member of the Seimas, Mykolas Majauskas, a member of the Seimas, Kazys Starkevičius, a member of the Seimas, and Gintautas Paluckas, vice president of the Economic Committee. The Seimas approved the member of the Seimas Viktoras Pranckietis as chairman of the Rural Affairs Commission and the deputy member of the Seimas Vidmantas Kanopas as his deputy.

Seimas member Vytautas Juozapaitis became chairman of the Culture Committee and Seimas member Laurynas Kasčiūnas became chairman of the National Defense and Security Committee.

The Seimas approved Mindaugas Lingė, a member of the Seimas, Antanas Matulas, a member of the Seimas, Artūras Žukauskas, a member of the Seimas, and Vilija Targamadze, vice-chairman of the Seimas Education and Science Committee, as chairman of the Seimas Health Affairs Committee.

With the approval of the Seimas, Stasys Šedbaras, member of the Seimas, Žygimantas Pavilionis, member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Antanas Guoga, member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Ričardas Juška, member of the Seimas, vice president of the Seimas and Seimas, member Valentinas Bukauskas. The Seimas Human Rights Committee will be chaired by the Seimas member, Tomas Vytautas Raskevičius.

Radvilė Morkūnaitė-Mikulėnienė, vice-president of the Seimas, became president of the Commission of European Affairs of the Seimas.

The Seimas also established that the president of the European Affairs Commission of the Seimas has 6 deputies. These are the members of Seimas Laima Liucija Andrikienė, Audronius Ažubalis, Domas Griškevičius, Arminas Lydeka, Marius Matijošaitis, Mindaugas Puidokas.
