Coronavirus kills 42-year-old resident of Mažeikiai nursing home: shortness of breath before death

Health other than disability was not a complaint

Stasė Radeckienė, director of the public institution “Vilties erdvė”, said that a disabled man lived with them since 2004, so he had become a member of the family.

S. Radeckienė recalled that, at the same time, the health of the ward seemed to have improved, but he watched it warily, knowing that sometimes the condition improves before the worst happens.

Intuition did not deceive. On Sunday, at dawn on November 15, a painful message reached the director: the room did not survive.

“The hospital did not tell us much about the course of treatment,” said the interlocutor.

Almost all the remaining rooms were recovered

Now S. Radeckienė is at least comfortable that other wards have fallen ill with a mild form of the disease. Almost everyone except one girl is fine now. The most seriously ill girl, said the director, should also recover.

All residential residents with COVID-19 disease were isolated. Other pupils had no contact with them because they live in another building. Sick workers were also isolated.

24 deaths per day were recorded

The National Public Health Center (NVSC) reported on Wednesday that 1935 cases of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) were confirmed in Lithuania last day and up to 24 deaths from COVID-19 were recorded. Thus, a total of 323 lives have been claimed in the country.

There were 3 deaths in Kaunas County. The individuals belonged to the 60-69 and 90-99 age groups and had comorbidities.

In Tauragė County there were 2 deaths. The individuals belonged to the age groups 70 to 79 and 80 to 89 years.

One death was recorded in Marijampolė County. The person belonged to the age group of 50 to 59 years.
