COVID-19 killed 24 people between the ages of 40 and 99

5 deaths were recorded in Vilnius county. The individuals belonged to the age groups 50-59, 70-79 and 80-89.

There were 4 deaths in Klaipeda County. The individuals belonged to the age groups 70-79 and 80-89.

4 deaths were recorded in Šiauliai county. The individuals belonged to the age groups 60-69, 70-79, and 80-89.

4 deaths were recorded in Telšiai county. The individuals belonged to the age groups 40-49, 70-79, and 80-89.

There were 3 deaths in Kaunas County. The individuals belonged to the 60-69 and 90-99 age groups and had comorbidities.

In Tauragė County there were 2 deaths. The individuals belonged to the age groups 70 to 79 and 80 to 89 years.

One death was recorded in Marijampolė County. The person belonged to the age group of 50 to 59 years.

In addition, a death was recorded last day in Utena County. The person belonged to the age group 80 to 89 years.

In addition, last day 8 deaths were recorded (2 in Vilnius, 2 in Klaipėda, 1 each in Panevėžys, Šiauliai, Tauragė, Telšiai counties), when those infected with the coronavirus died for other reasons.

In hospitals – 1,363 people

According to the Ministry of Health (SAM), 1,363 people infected with coronavirus are treated in Lithuanian hospitals. 93 of them in resuscitation.

Oxygen masks are required for 748 patients and lung ventilation is provided for 67.

According to data provided by 58 out of 61 medical institutions, there are currently 8 thousand people employed in Lithuania. 914 hospital beds of 16 thousand. 785.

Of 669 resuscitation beds, 362 were occupied, artificial pulmonary ventilation occupied – 210 of 618, outside of oxygen-supplied beds, 2 thousand were occupied. 135 of 6 thousand. 283.

Since the start of the pandemic, COVID-19 has infected 38,000 people in the country. 810 people, 29 thousand. 2 – still ill, 9362 – recovered.

A total of 323 people died from coronavirus in Lithuania and 125 people died from other causes.
