Landsbergis to resign if appointed minister
If appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs, G. Landsbergis will resign from the post of Chairman of the Lithuanian Christian Democratic Group-National Union in the Seimas.

The president will meet with the candidates shortly
According to the Constitution, the President, with the approval of the Seimas, appoints the Prime Minister and instructs him to form the Government and approve its composition.
