To reduce the risk of the spread of COVID-19 infection, the municipal administration of the city of Alytus instructs three groups of three daycare centers to temporarily organize the educational process remotely.

The distance education process for the children of the Viščiukai group of the Alytus “Pasaka” nursery school will take place from 16 November. up to a separate instruction from the Alytus Department of the National Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health, but not more than 14 days.

The children of the group of ten “Kiškučiai” of the kindergarten “Saulutė” must study at a distance before November 18, and the children of the group “Butterflies” of the kindergarten “Kindles” of the kindergarten “Kindles” must learn remotely before November 19.

The order of the director of the municipal administration states that the heads of kindergartens must monitor the health of children and staff, and in case of symptoms, they would be ordered to carry out an investigation into the COVID-19 disease. Upon identification of a sick employee and persons in close contact, information needs to be provided immediately to the Alytus Department of the National Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health.

The premises visited by the patient must be disinfected in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health.

The order also states that if the nursery staff develop symptoms of acute upper respiratory disease, they should not go to work, and if the symptoms occur at work, it is necessary to stop them as soon as possible and inform the director of the institution immediately.

It should be ensured that only staff without acute signs of upper respiratory tract infections and other illnesses, as well as staff without mandatory isolation, work in daycare centers.
