A. Kubilienė, who was not re-elected to the Seimas this year, decided to return to parliament in a slightly different way, working as an assistant. A. Kubilienė was unable to comment on Tuesday.
However, Seimas member A. Nekrošius, who hired her, says he called her to help her because of her work and knowledge in the field of health care.
“When the situation changed, when we became opponents, the list of employees of our faction was reviewed, the skills of former Seimas members, who were no longer elected, were reviewed, and it was decided that some of them could be hired and their skills used, “said A. Nekrošius. .
When asked if this means that he intends to work on health issues, because A. Kubilienė has the most experience in this field, A. Nekrošius said that this is one of the options.

Temporarily hired
Artūras Skardžius, a former MP who was not re-elected this year, returned to the Seimas in exactly the same way. Together with the Labor Party, A. Skardžius, who tried his luck in this year’s elections but lost, will work in this term as an assistant to Vytautas Gapšis, a worker elected to the Seimas after a hiatus.
We were unable to reach A. Skardčius himself by phone on Tuesday. However, V. Gapšys, who hired him, told A. Skardžius to invite him to the team after deciding on his experience.

However, according to a member of the Seimas, A. Skardžius will work for him temporarily.

Besides A. Skardžius, V. Gapšius has two other assistants. A member of the Seimas intends to fundamentally review the equipment in the spring.
Any member of the Seimas who has obtained the mandate of a member of the Seimas receives the right to employ his assistants. The Statute of the Seimas that regulates the work of parliamentarians establishes that a member of the Seimas can employ up to three full-time assistants.
