Verstappen, with plenty of room in front of him, was driving at a good pace as opponents stopped one after another, so the Dutchman overtook Vettel after his stop and moved up to third position.

Verstappen tried to beat S. Pérez and climb to second place, but he did not control the car, he turned around on the track, had to drive to the pits and fell to eighth place. Soon, V. Bott spun again, in 17th position. Meanwhile, a Thai Alexander Albon (Red Bull) drove well, outplayed Hamilton with S. Vettel, took advantage of a teammate’s mistake and climbed to third place. It is true that, in the end, the error was not prevented by A. Albon, who turned around on the track and lost for almost 10 seconds.

With just over 20 laps remaining, the race leader changed. Stroll turned to the pits and Hamilton edged out S. Pérez by a short time. S. Vettel decided to change his tires a little earlier, so he fell to fifth place. Towards the end of the race, Monaco showed excellent speed. Charles Leclercas (Ferrari). He surpassed S. Vettel, L. Stroll and M. Verstappen and moved up to third place.

Hamilton finished first quietly and thus secured the seventh world champion title. So he repeated the all-time record, jealous of the German Michaelį Schumacherį.

S. Pérez held the second place after the drama in the last turns. Ch.Leclercas tried to break him, but made a mistake. Monaco not only did not climb to second place, but also lost third place. It was occupied by S. Vettel, for whom it was the first podium of the season.
