Fourteen people ages 50 to 99 died from COVID-19

Four deaths were recorded in Telšiai county. The dead were between 50 and 99 years old.

Three deaths were recorded in Kaunas and Šiauliai counties. The individuals ranged in age from 70 to 89 years.

Two deaths were recorded in Klaipėda County, people aged 80 to 99 died.

One case of death from coronavirus infection was recorded in Marijampolė and Tauragė counties. The individuals belonged to the age groups of 70 to 99 years.

In addition, six deaths per day were recorded in Vilnius, Klaipėda, Šiauliai and Tauragė counties, when the person infected with the coronavirus passed away for other reasons.

846 people are treated in hospitals for COVID-19

According to the Ministry of Health (SAM), 846 people with coronavirus are treated in Lithuanian hospitals. 75 of them – in resuscitation.

398 patients are treated with oxygen masks and 49 people receive artificial lung ventilation.

Of the almost 17 thousand. more than 9.3 thousand of all hospital beds are currently occupied. Resuscitation beds are occupied by more than half: 352 of the existing 668.

Of 618 beds with artificial pulmonary ventilation, they occupied 194, out of 6.3 thousand. about 1.9 thousand beds were occupied with oxygen.

A total of 235 people died from coronavirus in Lithuania and 80 people died from other causes.
