“With the relief of quarantine conditions and the gradual return of normal life to its ways, schools are opening up. We must care for and ensure a healthy environment for students, teachers and other school personnel. Together with the Ministry of Health We have prepared recommendations on organizing a safe educational process. We note that returning to schools is not mandatory, but is allowed if the school community so wishes, “says Algirdas Monkevičius, Minister of Education, Science and Sports.
The Ministry of Education, Science and Sports reminds that schools can continue to work remotely: giving lessons, providing educational assistance, counseling, or they can start working on a regular and mixed basis, ensuring the least possible contact of students with other participants in the educational process. The decision on the form of education (distance or contact) is made by the school itself or its founder, generally the municipalities, who coordinate the decision with the school community.
The requirements for the organization of education in educational institutions are established in the decision signed by the Minister of Health Aurelijus Veryga on the organization of general education, the implementation of student consultations and the necessary conditions for the provision of assistance. educational.

Students should not have direct contact with staff whose responsibilities do not include working directly with students.
The working hours of the educational institution, the beginning and the end of the lessons in different classes, the time of the breaks should be adjusted as much as possible to separate the students in different classes when they enter or leave the educational institution, use local common, they rest during breaks and eat. Buffet meals cannot be arranged when meals are made by the students themselves. School leaders are encouraged to consider organizing student meals in classrooms or other educational settings.
It is recommended, if possible, to assign different inputs and outputs to different classes.
A distance of one meter is maintained.
If educational activities are organized, student consultations are held in classrooms or other facilities, the learning and consultation places should be arranged in such a way that a distance of at least 1 m is maintained between the students sitting in they. It is recommended to maintain this distance at all times between all people in the educational establishment.
It is recommended that educational support professionals work with students remotely. If contact inquiries with educational support specialists are arranged, they should be provided individually or worked only with students from the same class at the same time. A distance of at least 1 m should be maintained during the consultation. If a safe distance cannot be maintained, reduce the contact time to 15 minutes if possible.
Requirements for the premises: frequent ventilation, disinfection of frequently touched surfaces
Premises where classes, counseling, or other educational activities are held must be ventilated before students arrive and during each break. If a tool is used by more than one student, it must be cleaned and disinfected after each use. Frequently touched surfaces (educational aids, door handles, door frames, table tops, chair supports, stair rails, electrical switches, etc.) are cleaned with a surface cleaner at least twice a day .
If student transportation is organized, a distance of 1 meter must be maintained between students in the vehicle.
General hygiene requirements apply.
Information should be provided on the need to observe personal hygiene (hand hygiene, cough, sneezing, etc.) and on the obligation to wear protective equipment that covers the nose and mouth at the entrance of the educational institution. Adequate facilities for hand hygiene and disinfection must be provided within the facility.
Like other educational institutions (kindergartens, non-formal educational institutions), the school will be open only to students who do not have a fever, who do not have acute signs of upper respiratory tract infections. The same requirements apply to employees. It is recommended to measure the body temperature of all people who enter the educational institution at the entrance to the school and to prevent fever.
