“The government will return to the hearing in three weeks. Anyway, I have little doubt that it will extend the quarantine. The only question is: what will be the conditions,” A. Veryga told reporters at Seimas on Tuesday.

According to him, it is too early to assess the results of the quarantine introduced in Lithuania on Saturday.

“At the beginning of next week, we will be able to say with greater precision how we are,” said the minister.

According to A.Veryga, on Wednesday the government plans to adopt certain adjustments related to quarantine restrictions.

“Some clarifications need to be made. They were discussed. One clarification is about the use of masks by children aged six and over, because misunderstandings have arisen in kindergartens, where some are already six years old, others not yet.” , said.

“And another (clarification – BNS) – regarding the leasing of premises, where we now see that certain requirements are being circumvented, several arcades or similar are being rented and the action is still there. This may be an adjustment due to this “added the minister.

Due to the spread of the coronavirus in Lithuania, the quarantine came into effect on Saturday and will last until November 29 inclusive.

During quarantine, face masks must be worn in public places and all events are prohibited except high-quality sports competitions without spectators.

The activities of restaurants, cafes, bars, discos, casinos and other entertainment venues, health service centers that provide recreational services are also prohibited.

Among other things, quarantine is subject to other restrictions related to healthcare, outlets, educational institutions, public transportation, and other areas.
