Scandalous past of the son of the new president of the United States: romance with his brother’s wife, drugs, suspicious relationships | Names

Hunter Biden graduated from law but tested himself in a variety of professional fields. In the fifty years of his life, the man has not been without scandals that have overshadowed the reputation of a famous father.

It was also used as a tool during this presidential campaign by Donald Trump, who brought to light a series of dubious facts about Hunter Biden. According to Business Insider, from the moment Joe Biden became a Democratic presidential candidate, his son’s biography came to the fore.

He suffered a tragedy at an early age

Joe Biden had three children with his first wife, Neilia, their son Beau and Hunter, and their daughter Naomi. On a fateful day in December 1972, a car driven by Neilia with the three children was involved in a grueling car accident. The incident claimed the lives of Joe Biden’s first wife and their one-year-old daughter.

Beau and Hunter were seriously injured in the incident, but survived. Joe Biden, who pursues a political career, lost two beloved women in one day and was left alone with two small children. Meanwhile, the children not only lost their mother and sister, but also witnessed this horrible event.

Hunter lived with his father and brother for five years. In 1977, Joe Biden married his second wife, Jill Jacobs. Four more years later, in 1981, the couple had a daughter, Ashley.

He followed in his father’s footsteps

In 1992 Hunter Biden graduated in history from Georgetown University. It was during his early years of study that the differences between a man and his father began to become apparent: Hunter did not avoid the usual parties with alcohol and cigarettes for students, and occasionally used cocaine.

After graduation, he spent a year in Portland, Oregon, where he volunteered for the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, a non-profit organization that aims to help poor communities. In 1996, Hunter graduated from a private Yale Law School.

A year later, Hunter Biden returned to his native Delaware, Wilmington. Here he bought a historic home where he lived with his wife Kathleen, his daughters and his older brother Beau. It was upon his return to Wilmington that Hunter took the first dubious steps in his career to become executive vice president of MBNA Bank.

This cast doubt on a potential conflict of interest, as MBNA Bank was one of the donors to Joe Biden’s political campaigns. Hunter Biden eventually left the position, but the decision was motivated by an unlikely work culture rather than a conflict of interest.

In 1998, Hunter Biden contacted William Oldaker, a Washington-based attorney who also worked on Joe Biden’s 1978 presidential campaign. Biden asked Older about the possibility of working in the administration of then US President Bill Clinton.

Clinton appointed Biden to the Department of Commerce, where he served as director from 1998 to 2001. Following this decision, Biden moved his family to Washington, where he continued to develop his career, although he later admitted that the salary he received was barely enough to financially support their families and housing.

From 2001 to 2008, Biden worked for the federal lobbying firm Oldaker, Biden and Belair LPP, which he helped found. Biden left this firm due to his father’s political campaign to avoid a negative public reaction when Joe Biden was invited to contribute to Barack Obama.

He started his own business

After Obama’s successful victory and the consolidation of Biden’s position in Washington, Biden took a different path and established his own business. In 2008, he founded the consultancy Seneca Global Advisors, and in 2009 he became one of the founders of the private equity firm Rosemont Seneca Partners.

These firms then were based on theories that during these activities, Biden had the opportunity to establish contacts with various Russian and Chinese business representatives. These international Biden firms hit a dead end when Biden introduced curbing corruption in Ukraine as one of his foreign policy priorities.

The vicissitudes of personal life deserve the headlines

One of Biden’s most memorable scandals took place when a 44-year-old man registered for the United States Navy Reserve. This happened in 2012, and in 2014 this reserve fired him for a positive cocaine test.

“Serving in the United States Navy was the greatest honor of my life. I am very sorry and ashamed that my actions led to my administrative dismissal. I respect the decision of the United States Navy. I am moving forward with the support and love of my family, “Biden told the American media at the time.

In 2015, Biden went through another tragedy when cancer ruined the life of his 46-year-old brother Beau. After divorcing his first wife and mother of children in 2017, Biden admitted to having a romantic relationship with his late brother Beau’s widow, Hallie.

Fell in love with his brother’s widow

Biden later said that his brother’s death shocked him greatly and he began to seek solace in the drugs he bought from the homeless. He also added that along with his brother’s widow, Hallie, they realized they were having similar experiences with Beau’s death and found comfort in each other.

According to Biden, before they became a couple, he spent a lot of time with his brother’s widow, Hallie, after Beau’s death. They tried to keep this relationship a secret, but they made it public. When questions about the couple also reached Joe Biden, he and his wife publicly expressed support for the relationship between the son and the ex-martyr.

The official date of the couple’s divorce is unknown, but in 2019, Biden’s secret wedding to Melissa Cohen became public. The couple had a son together.

Relations with other states are questionable

In 2014, H. Biden became a member of the board of directors of Ukraine’s largest gas company, Burisma. The man found this company through his business contacts. As a member of the anti-corruption board, he offered the firm the legal services firm Boies Schiller Flexner, where he also served as an attorney.

A press release was then issued stating that he was responsible for Burisma’s international legal relationships with other companies, but Biden himself later denied the definition.

This news became particularly controversial because it came to light precisely at a time when US-Russian relations were particularly strained over Ukraine and its independent energy. Biden’s move was seen by many as a conflict of interest, as Biden took over as vice president of the United States.

During the scandal, the Biden family explained to the media that Biden was a private individual and that his business decisions did not influence or reflect government policy.

Became a target of D. Trump

The scandal gained new momentum when Biden ran for president. A New York Times article published in May this year detailed H. Biden and his father’s relations with Ukraine, as Biden was keenly seeking the removal of Ukrainian Attorney General Viktor Shokin.

There were public suspicions that it was a possible conflict of interest and that Shokin might have been removed to protect Biden. However, Biden was one of many people in the Obama administration who tried to impeach Shokin on suspicion of corruption.

Biden at the time publicly threatened that the United States would not provide Ukraine with a $ 1 trillion loan unless it removed Shokin from office. Finally, Shokin was eliminated.

A formal investigation into the incident has not been launched, and although evidence of Biden’s guilt was lacking, the Trump administration used this information during the presidential campaign as a tool to instill mistrust in Biden’s transparency.

A scandalous paternity test

In the fall of 2019, the US Democratic Party announced that it would impeach Trump for his cooperation with Ukraine’s President Vladimir Zelensky to investigate Biden and his son.

Later, the source reported that D. Trump had asked V. Zelensky to initiate an investigation into the links between J. Biden and H. Biden. Surrounded by all these scandals, on November 20, 2019, during Biden’s 77th birthday, another shocking message reached Binden and the United States.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported that the paternity test confirmed that the father of the baby of a woman named Lunden Alexis Robert was H. Biden.

The woman herself explained that she did not want the message to interfere in any way with Biden’s political campaign or turn into another scandal. But in May, she told Biden she was seeking a paternity test and money to support the child. Hunter himself denied being the father of the baby and asked to dismiss Lunden’s complaint.

However, as Court House News reported in March this year, the paternity case has ended and Biden will have to pay an undisclosed amount of money to support the child.
