Other small business owners have just lowered their hands for rent subsidies because there is a tragic system in place. The comma is not there, they reject it. Then you have to send it again, it has to be approved again by the tenants, then we are again, and the system itself is crazy, “he said.

L. Želnienė said that he also had a cafe in Vilnius in the summer, therefore, in total, both for locals in Klaipėda and in the capital, he calculated that Invega’s rental compensation should reach 5 thousand. EUR.

“It is already a mockery of people, but I do not give up, there is something to fight for,” said L. Želnienė, adding that he even hired a lawyer.

Jūratė, who rents a pottery workshop in Klaipėda and creates jewelry and interior details with it, said that she had also tried to receive partial rent compensation, but that her application had also been rejected.

“I also requested compensation for the rent, but it was interpreted that the quarantine did not affect me because I could continue doing everything.

The woman said she would try again to apply for INVEGA, as her own staff told the woman that there should be changes soon.

INVEGA: People lack attention

It happens that the applicants do not meet all the specified criteria, and their activities during the quarantine were neither prohibited nor restricted, ”he said.

Financial assistance will also continue to be provided to the tourism sector, which is facing particularly severe challenges as a result of the pandemic, and we ask for loans from tourism and accommodation providers and guarantees for tour operators to meet their obligations.
