After President-elect Kamala Harris’s introductory speech, Biden ran to an outdoor stage in Wilmington, Delaware, where he lives, to the Bruce Springsteen song “We Take Care of Our Own.”
He sent a message of hope and reconciliation to a joyous crowd of his supporters and tens of millions of viewers.
“Friends, the people of this country have spoken. They gave us a clear victory, a convincing victory, “said the brilliant J. Biden.
The victory speech came after an extremely tense election campaign in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. “Now is the time for the United States to recover,” he stressed. “I promise to be a president who seeks to unite, not divide.”
This promise from Biden was clearly different from Trump’s polarizing policy during the four years of his tenure.
Biden acknowledged that there were disagreements with Trump supporters, but said of them: “They are not our enemies. They are Americans.”
“May this era of demonization in America begin to end here and now,” added Biden. “I sought this position to restore the soul of America, restore the backbone of this state, the middle class, and make America again respected in the world.”
“Let’s give ourselves a chance,” he said, urging the country to “lower the temperature.”
Former Vice President Barack Obama also drew attention to the issues facing African Americans and other American ethnic groups to help elect him as a Democratic candidate so that he could challenge Trump.
“The whole world is looking at America tonight, and I believe that our best America is a beacon to the world,” he stressed.

Pat Heffernan, 59, and his wife Debra have already traveled to this venue twice this week in anticipation of a victory party that didn’t happen immediately due to a prolonged vote count.
“We are relieved,” said the man, dressed in red and white striped pants and a shiny hat. His wife wore a Statue of Liberty costume.
“It’s appropriate, because we will begin to allow immigrants to return to our country,” Heffernan said.
According to the organizers, around 360 cars attended the rally. Among those gathered was, among other things, a man dressed in the costume of an inflatable baby representing Donald Trump.
