Skvernelis is about a fateful three weeks of quarantine: only two routes are possible after them

The prime minister told reporters before the Seimas session that if the situation improves, it will be possible to think about easing the restrictions in three weeks.

“I think we have to wait patiently for those three weeks, and I have no doubt that the result will be. We need to stabilize the exponential increase so that it no longer exists, to stabilize the situation in health facilities. And if we achieve that result in three weeks, we will be able to gradually remove or reduce the restrictions, ”said the Prime Minister.

And if not, the path is only one.

“If there are no results, then the only way is to tighten the screws, but that would be the hardest way and not a very good one,” Skvernelis said.

The prime minister of the Seimas said that the stricter restrictions would hurt.

“If we see that there is no result, we will have to do it in such a way that there are as few social contacts as possible, but economically, psychologically it would be a great damage. I think what our doctors say, the experts, the states that were the first to go back to quarantine achieved the result quite quickly. That is why I hope that we are not an exception ”, said the Prime Minister.

S. Skvernelis said that the curfew in a country that has already been introduced in several countries of the European Union could be accepted in Lithuania only as a last resort.

“Then the Seimas should introduce a state of emergency in the country, that decision would be.” But this is already an extreme measure, for which now I really see no basis. But when in 3 weeks there will be a new Seimas and a new government, then the majority will decide, “said S. Skvernelis.
