Take – blisters and patches

The sports stadium between the two schools is officially located on the territory of the Vėtrungė Gymnasium, but is said to belong to the Santarvė Progymnasium.

However, the square is used not only by students of educational institutions, but also by residents of the surrounding district.

Ride a bike to meet and spoil the surface. Most young people do. Hard braking actually damages the coating. It happens that he comes to the stadium with dogs. It is worn and turned off.

One of them, seeing that the tape was damaged (in some places the surface was cut or even detached), went to the municipality.

“Next to the Vėtrungė gym, in the stadium, the surface of the treadmill is damaged, it has been cut into pieces and air bubbles have formed under it. And in other places there are indentations in the pavement where the water ”, informed the neighbor to the municipality.

He also rides a bike

Jurgita Šimeliūnienė, deputy director of education at the Vėtrungė gymnasium, said that the stadium had recently been renovated some time ago.

“This tape has been maintained many times, both on its own and with hired teachers. Not only children use it, but also the community that plays sports. But there are also angry people. They ride their bikes to satisfy and damage the surface. “It really happens that they come to the stadium with dogs. They wear themselves out and leave. It is unpleasant. After all, we are dedicated to raising children, there is no time to catch community members and raise them,” said J. Šimeliūnienė.

It is true that the vice principal stressed that there are also members of the community who are concerned about school equipment.

“The fence was overturned, people came and told us that we were explaining. They also warn about animal lovers in the square,” the woman recalled.

Who will repair?

The gym’s housekeeper, Remigijus Skuodys, said the entire running track was carefully organized last fall.

“It was at this time that we were hitting. Our gym showed initiative, we patched it up, but time has passed. We have looked at all the bladders carefully. But here are the things about vandalism. According to the general agreement, we cut grass, repair doors and fences ”, assured R. Skuodys.

Noted that the artificial surface of the treadmill also suffers from scooters and cyclists.

“After all, we must be careful. It happens that after the night we find torn patches. “, – said R. Skuodys.
