In the Kauno diena study – resident physician: medical care – bullet burial?

Karolis Kilčauskas, Chairman of the Young Doctors Association Board of Directors and an emergency medicine resident, visits Kauno Dienas’s studio today.

Recently, K. Kilčauskas caused a great resonance in society, when he announced on the social network at the end of October that the sanitary ship was sinking.

“In this context of a pandemic, treatment facilities are being built in an impossible position. They need to provide planned services at the same time and at the same time ensure that people with COVID-19 receive help,” says the resident doctor who works in the Kaunas clinics.

K. Kilčauskas claims that young doctors now sometimes simply fill in the gaps in the health system, despite the labor code.

“The work schedule means nothing, we are at war,” complained a resident doctor. How much do patients with other diseases suffer in this situation, if they are adequately prepared for the second wave of the virus and, finally, if the ship of health is already sinking? – in an interview in the “Kauno diena” studio.
