Formula One executives continue to try to set the schedule for the upcoming season, which has been significantly adjusted by the coronavirus pandemic.
The next race is scheduled for early July in Austria, followed immediately by a race in the UK.
Still, the stage at Silverstone can still be canceled. That probability increased after UK authorities raised the idea that all people entering the country would have to spend 14 days in quarantine to avoid a second wave of pandemics.
“A 14-day quarantine for the teams would mean that the British GP just won’t happen this year.” That would be a huge blow to the thousands of people whose work involves Formula One.
“If you want elite sports to come back to television, then there are some exceptions,” Reuters said, citing F-1.
The British GP, according to the current schedule, is scheduled for July 17-19.
