There were three deaths in Klaipeda County, all of the people were over 80 years old and suffering from chronic diseases. The coronavirus was detected on October 19 and 30.
A chronically ill person over the age of 60 died in Kaunas County. The coronavirus was confirmed on October 27.
In Tauragė County, a person over the age of 70, who also suffered from chronic diseases, died. The coronavirus was confirmed in one person on October 28.
A total of 175 people died of COVID-19 in Lithuania.
There was also a case of death in Šiauliai county, when a person infected with the coronavirus died for other reasons. In Lithuania, a total of 61 such deaths were recorded.
A total of 17 thousand coronaviruses have been confirmed. 453 people, 12 thousand. 283 of them are still ill, 4934 – have recovered.
613 people are treated in hospitals for COVID-19
According to the Ministry of Health, 613 patients with confirmed COVID19 infection are treated in Lithuanian hospitals, 51 of them undergoing resuscitation.
286 patients are treated with oxygen masks and 26 people receive artificial lung ventilation.
A total of 17,000 people in Lithuania have been infected with the coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic. 453 people, 12 thousand. 283 – still ill, 4934 – recovered.
Of the almost 16.8 thousand. all 9,000 hospital beds are currently occupied. Resuscitation beds are occupied by more than half: 342 of the existing 632.
Of 569 beds with artificial pulmonary ventilation occupied are 201, of 6 thousand. around 1,6 thousand beds were occupied with oxygen.
