On Sunday evening, Dan Rapšys and the Energy Standard team started the sixth stage of the International Swimming League (ISL). In the competition taking place at the Duna Arena in Budapest, the Lithuanian swimming leader successfully covered the 400 meter freestyle distance.
Panevėžys has already cleared the first 25 meters with a great advantage and passed them with confidence until the end of the distance – 3: 35.49 min. This is the best result in the world this season.
D. Rapšys contributed 12 points to his team with a great swim.
Felix Aubock (3: 39.38), who lost the status of the season record holder, finished second, followed by Mychailo Romančiukas (3: 39.63).
On Monday, Dan will continue to freestyle for half the distance.
In addition to D. Rapšys, Energy Standards was represented on Saturday by two other Lithuanians: Simonas Bilis and Andrius Šidlauskas.
A. Šidlauskas covered the 200 m breaststroke in 2 minutes. 7.17 sec. and ranked fifth, and the 200 m swim complex was completed by seventh (2: 00.93 min.).
S. Bilis swam 50 m freestyle in 21.45 seconds. and was fifth. The Lithuanian, who sailed the 4x100m freestyle with Sergejs Ševcovs, Chad le Clos and Florent Manaudou, took third place (3: 08.18 min.) And contributed 18 points to his team.
In Budapest, Energy Standard is battling swimmers Aqua Centurions and Toronto Titans, as well as the familiar NY Breakers from the first round.
