Andrius Vyšniauskas, a member of the National Union-Lithuanian Christian Democratic Party elected to the new Seimas, told the Service Ethics Commission (COEC) to assess whether it should be subject to a one-year “reflection period”.

L.Zinkevičienė started managing the fund in October, she was appointed for a five-year term. He worked in the ministry for about a year, starting in September last year, but was on paternity leave from December to March.
The representative of the Minister of Agriculture, Rosvaldas Gorbačiovas, told BNS that four candidates participated in the competition, and L. Zinkevičienė scored the most points and won it.
“We cannot prohibit people from participating in the competition, even those who work in ministries. She participated, in the opinion of the commission, was the best and works. If there is a conclusion, decision or evaluation of the COEC, we will be vigilant, but in our opinion, no laws have been violated, ”said R. Gorbachev.

L. Zinkevičienė was appointed by the Minister of the Environment Kęstutis Mažeika, who was temporarily replacing the Minister of Agriculture who was on leave at the time. The ministry did not announce that the chancellor had assumed a new position.

On Thursday, A. Vyšniauskas also asked the COEC for the possible appointment of the Vice Minister of Agriculture Evaldas Gustas as Head of the Center for Agricultural Information and Rural Business.
