The conservative candidate for Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė this week asked the Minister of Health, Aurelijus Veryga, not to give up the responsibility of managing the situation in COVID-19 and to hand over the work to the right of the center without problems. She told the 15min.lt portal in response to the minister’s public invitation for a possible center-right health minister to come and familiarize himself with the situation in detail.

Commenting on the prime minister’s statement, the Conservative Party also said that it had not received any royal invitation and that Minister A Veryga had refused to attend a closed faction meeting.

“It is a pity that the current rulers are lying. We have not received any invitation. On the contrary, we ourselves invited Minister Veryga to a closed-door meeting of the group to discuss the situation.
