Most of the new coronavirus cases were recorded in Vilnius County last day, the National Public Health Center (NVSC) reported on Thursday.
According to him, 350 cases of the 950 illnesses registered last day have been confirmed here.
152 diseases were recorded in Kaunas county, 124 in Klaipėda, 120 in Telšiai, 97 in Šiauliai, 35 in Panevėžys, 32 in Tauragė, 28 in Marijampolė, seven in Alytus, and five in Utena county.
NVSC says that most of these people became infected after contact with sick people.
Among other things, 142 diseases have been recorded for which the circumstances of the infection are unclear.
“However, these figures have not yet been reviewed, as not all epidemiological studies have been completed,” says NVSC.
In Vilnius County, the cases are related to outbreaks at the Viesulas judo club, at the tennis championship held in the Alaušas Valley, at the Vuelta dance studio, at basketball training sessions at the Vilnius Mainland Gymnasium.
Outbreak-related cases were also recorded in Vilnius Karoliniškės Gymnasium, Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis National School of Arts, Vilnius Balsiai Progymnasium, Vilnius Martynas Mažvydas Progymnasium, Vilnius Duke Gediminas Progymnasium, Žnius Gymniusmnasium.
