Deaths from COVID-19: some lives disappeared in just a few days

Five more deaths from COVID-19 have been recorded in Lithuania, the total number is currently 141, the National Center for Public Health reported on Tuesday.

The first case of death was registered in Kaunas County, a person over 80 years old with chronic diseases died. The coronavirus was confirmed in one person on October 25.

The second death was recorded in Marijampolė County for a person over the age of 50 who was confirmed with coronavirus on October 22.

The third case of death was registered in Klaipėda County, where a person over 50 years old who had comorbidities also died. The coronavirus was confirmed in one person on October 19.

A person over the age of 60 with a chronic illness died in Šiauliai county. The coronavirus was confirmed on October 14.

The fifth case of death was in Tauragė County. A man over the age of 60 who suffered from a chronic disease died. The coronavirus was confirmed on October 16.

In addition, one death per day was confirmed in Šiauliai county, when a person infected with coronavirus died for other reasons. A total of 48 cases of this type were registered.

A total of 11 thousand people in Lithuania were infected with the coronavirus. 362 people, 6844 – still sick, 4329 – recovered.
