Isolation will not apply to:

  • pupils, students and apprentices who travel abroad on a daily basis;

  • diplomats, personnel of international organizations and persons invited by international organizations whose physical presence is necessary for the proper functioning of said organizations, military and police personnel, as well as humanitarian aid workers and civil protection personnel in the performance of their duties;
  • passengers in transit;
  • Seafarers;
  • journalists in the performance of their duties;
  • high-performance athletes, high-performance sports specialists, high-performance sports instructors, employees of the sports medical staff who participate in international tournaments;
  • Lithuanian citizens returning from Belarus: teachers practicing Lithuanian education in schools in Belarus and clergymen doing pastoral work in Belarus.

A person who has had contact with and returned from a foreign country., You can leave the isolation area no later than 24 hours in advance. After leaving the isolation area, inform the National Public Health Center (NVSC) in the following cases:

  • to organize the funeral of a close person, transport the remains and / or participate in the armor / funeral ceremony of a close person (you can report without respecting the 24-hour period);
  • go to a medical institution to take a smear from the nasopharynx and pharyngeal coronavirus infection for laboratory tests or to receive health care services;
  • people who have come to Lithuania for legal matters (civil registry, notary, etc.) or study, to go to the necessary place for study or legal matters;
  • attend your wedding;
  • attend high-level sports exercises, training camps, competitions and institutions or establishments related to their sports activities for highly qualified athletes, sports specialists, instructors, employees of sports medical personnel (upon presentation of the supporting documents received from legal entities guests);
  • foreigners who come to Lithuania for special humanitarian reasons to go to a place necessary to handle legal matters or receive health care services;
  • go to state institutions, establishments and organizations at their invitation or attend to the necessary matters within them.

It is important to note that foreigners and Lithuanian citizens living or working abroad, as well as people who need to leave for health care reasons, can leave Lithuania for the country where they live, work or where they will be given medical care before of the 10-day isolation period. .

Patients with coronavirus infection the duration of isolation is specified in Minister of Health Order no. V-383 confirmed in children and adults with coronavirus infections in the description of the diagnostic and treatment procedure.

People suspected of having a coronavirus infection isolation is applied until a laboratory test for coronavirus is received;

People who have been in contact with the patient. the isolation will be applied for 14 days from the last day of exposure if no laboratory test is performed, or less if a laboratory test for coronavirus has been performed and no negative result has been obtained for at least 10 days of isolation. The isolation period will be shortened once the NVSC receives information from ESPBI IS on the negative result of the test performed during the specified period;

For exposed travelers returning from abroad Ten days of isolation will apply from arrival or return to Lithuania if a laboratory test is not performed, or until a negative result is received, if such a test is performed in Lithuania. If a negative test result is obtained, the isolation is no longer applied. However, within 10 days of their return or arrival in Lithuania, these people should restrict communication, not visit meeting places and follow the “work at home” regime. .
